Where was the project located?
The works were located on the A453 link between M1 Junction 24 and the A52 at the Clifton Bridge complex in Nottingham.
Why was the scheme needed?
The road surface in this section had deteriorated in recent years and was in need of replacement.
What work was carried out?
The resurfacing work we have carried out has a design life of four years and comprised of 6.1miles (9.8km) of resurfacing to a depth of 50mm.
How did this benefit road users?
These works will improve the safety and durability of the road surface and avoid the need for emergency repair work and associated disruption.
